Blizzard Elite 14u takes home August Bash Championship (updated)

Blizzard 14u throws no-hitter as a part of a 4-0 weekend to cap off seasons first tournament championship

The Minnesota Blizzard 14u team decided to end the Summer with a bash. The Blizzard team batted .406 in the tournament. In the second game of the tournament, the Blizzard as a staff threw a no-hitter against PHD. Along with the no-hitter, the Blizzard put up 25 runs in this 5-inning game. The Blizzard team stepped up big time with runners in scoring position batting .405 as a team throughout the tournament.
 
The Blizzard met MN Mash in the championship. On a dreary day the two teams traded punches sending the final game of the tournament to extra innings. As the sun broke through in the top of the 9th, so did the Blizzard bats.
 
The Blizzard scored 5 runs in the top of the 9th with hits coming after hits. Goodin finished off the game strong securing the 42nd championship of the Minnesota Blizzard program. 
 
The sky is the limit for this young and talented Blizzard team.
