9 teams competing in Iowa and South Dakota tournaments this spring !

Spring Rosters Posted

Two existing Blizzard Elite teams (12u Blue & 14u Blue) will join seven new Blizzard teams ages 10u-14u and compete in the NIT Kick-Off Classic (Iowa) and the Sanford Classic (South Dakota) this spring.

This past Sunday, the Blizzard saw 166 players ages 10u-14u competing for spots for a chance to play in the Blizzard Spring Program - a Blizzard program that dates back to 2008.

This two-month program including weekly practices and two tournaments are led by the Minnesota Blizzard Elite coaching staff, a group of dedicated baseball coaches who are dedicated mentors, fantastic instructors and great leaders!

Great job, Blizzard players!

Important Notes:

1) After we post our rosters, there is a tendency for roster flux within the first two weeks.  There will be minor juggling and players moving from roster to roster based on numbers, etc.  You will be contacted if there needs to be a move.

2) Your next steps?  The first practice will also serve as the first player/parent meeting.  Payments are due at the first practice March 7th.  We will also have apparel for both players and parents at the first practice as well !

3) Practice schedule and locations will be set next week.

3) If you do not see your name on a roster, you did not make a Blizzard team.  You do, however, have the option to practice for the next two months in the Blizzard program.  It is a great option to get ready for your spring season and it is also an opportunity to be a pick-up player if any current player is unable to attend a tournament.  We will have SPRING TRAINING practice times set next week for you !

4) If you see your name on a roster and have decided not to play, please contact us immediately at:

Congrats and we look forward to the 2015 Spring Blizzard season !

Minnesota Blizzard - Spring Blizzard Program Rosters 2015

Definition of Teams

Our Blizzard Elite teams are separated into three groups – Blue and Black.  The Blizzard Blue teams will have the top 12 or 13 players/prospects from the tryouts on the team.  Players who are graded out 13-24 will be placed on the Blizzard Black roster if the staff feels like they can compete on a national level.  Because we already have an existing 14u Blue team, the two teams we have created are the Black and Platinum.

In addition, there are some players based on depth charts - especially pitching and catching - where players may have been adjusted to make sure both teams remain very competitive.
