RHP, Jake Eichacker (IMG, 2015) has committed to Florida Gulf Coast University and will begin school in the fall of 2015.

Quick Scouting Report ...

Eichacker, who hails out of Sioux Falls, SD and attends school at IMG Academy in Florida pitched for the Minnesota Blizzard Elite teams in the summer and fall of 2014.  Eichacker, who works his two-seam fastball from 85-88 mph.  His mid three-quarter arm slot works well for a deep biting slider away from RHHs and has added baby split that works as a good change to LHHs.  He pounds the strike zone, is efficient early in the count and induces more groundballs that strikeouts but has above average ability to get swings in misses in the zone when his stuff and command.

Jake Eichacker on his time with the Blizzard ...

The Minnesota Blizzard provided me the opportunity for visibility across the nation along with outstanding coaching!  The coaches are one of a kind; trained, dedicated, accomplished and professionally connected.  My time with the Blizzard was well spent.

Eichacker, who is the 32nd Blizzard commit in the 2015 season and is one of 64 players who have committed to a Division I school since 2008 and is the 215th college commit overall.
