Blizzard Elite Baseball renews partnership with Twin Cities Orthopedics

Vadnais Heights, Minn: The Blizzard Baseball Academy and Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) are excited to announce their renewed partnership that will ensure that all Blizzard Academy members will have access to the best Orthopedic/Sports Medicine and Performance programs in the state.

TCO, one of the largest orthopedic practices in the country, is a highly innovative company that supports organizations with sports medicine services such as the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins and the St. Paul Saints – and now the Blizzard Baseball Academy

In addition to TCO’s orthopedic and sports medicine services, Training HAUS, powered by TCO, a state-of-the-art sports performance and training center located in Eagan at Viking Lakes, also provides services outside of the walls of the Eagan facility and works with local teams at their location, field, arena, etc.  The Training HAUS philosophy is built on a foundation of science, research and world-class sports medicine expertise. Their industry-leading team of experts work together to form a personalized and collaborative approach for each athlete and partner organization. Training HAUS establishes a basis for athletic performance that promises to challenge, inspire and produce real results.

“Partnering with TCO and Training HAUS is a big step for the Minnesota Blizzard,” Blizzard owner Adam Barta said.  “They have been a big partner of ours for the past three years and I’m excited that we have a chance to use their expertise at both the sports medicine and sports performance level.”

TCO & Training HAUS will also be providing the Blizzard players and families with events such as educational classes on sleep, nutrition, sport psychology and overall health throughout the year at both Training HAUS and the Blizzard Academy locations.  In addition, TCO will be the resource for our families on overall health, including arm care.

“Partnering with the Minnesota Blizzard over the past three years has been incredible,” VP of Marketing Heather Lang said, “and we’re excited to make it even stronger. Our expanded partnership will enable us to support more Blizzard athletes and families than ever before, through TCO Sports Medicine and Training HAUS Sports Performance programs.”

TCO’s sports performance arm – Training HAUS – will be running the Blizzard Performance Program at both the Edina and Vadnais Heights locations.  This program, kicking off on November 18th, will run 3x a week for 15 weeks at both locations and will be offered to all athletes – not just Blizzard players.

“Working with highly motivated athletes is what we do,” Kirk Olson, Head Sports Performance Coach at Training HAUS/TCO said. “Whether it's teaching the young athlete to simply move more effectively or helping the advanced baseball player improve their foot speed or throwing velocity, we aim to put all of our athletes in a position to realize their full physical potential. Pair that with their on-field instruction, and we will be building athletic and resilient ball players that compete at their highest level."

That personalized approach will be implemented and offered to all athletes who come through our Academy doors whether it is an arm assessment that is built into our pitching program or another sports performance offering to any athlete who is looking for structure and consistency at a convenient location.
