Minnesota Blizzard Baseball

The Minnesota Blizzard is proud to announce that program Owner and Head Baseball Coach Adam Barta will return to the dugout to coach the Blizzard 2029 team during the 2026 summer season.

Tryouts for all Blizzard summer teams—including the 2029 class—will begin August 11, 2025. These teams will begin training this winter and compete in a highly competitive, multi-state schedule in the summer of 2026.

“This is a critical stage in a player’s development,” Barta said. “The summer following a player’s freshman year is when we see big jumps—in strength, baseball IQ, and confidence. It’s when players start to separate themselves. I’m looking forward to being hands-on with that process, especially with our 2029 newcomers.”

The Blizzard program is looking for the top players in Minnesota and throughout the Midwest—players who want to be challenged, coached hard, and surrounded by others with the same drive.

With a strong winter training system and a summer schedule designed for exposure and development, Blizzard teams have helped produce hundreds of college commits and professional players over the last two decades.

• Players only come back to one tryout game. 
• Not all players get called back to call back games.  Players will get cut after Day 1
• Call Back game rosters will be posted on the front page of our website the afternoon of Day 1 tryouts.
• Tryout game times will either be at 9am | 11:30am | 2pm
