Minnesota Blizzard Baseball

Since 2003, we have been giving instruction to players ages 5u-18u through one on one and small group instruction.  While our Blizzard teams have seen a lot of success in that time, our Baseball Academy and focus on instruction has been the foundation of the player's success for the past 13 years.

An important piece of development is the mentorship from our coaches and instructors.  They are phenomenal baseball teachers but they also encompass our Blizzard Big 5 core values.  Many of them have been dedicated instructors since the start of the Academy thirteen years ago.  They are phenomenal teachers and all have a message that is consistent - which is very important for players who are coming in on a weekly basis.

Players do NOT have to play for a Blizzard team to be a part of our Blizzard Academy.  Any player of any skill set can be a part of our baseball academy!

Our offerings are very simple and very easy to sign up for.  You can either sign up online, shoot me an email to confirm a lesson or call the Blizzard Academy at 612.790.4700.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS

Most players are looking for a consistent and results-driven plan. Our 10-lesson package pairs you with the same* instructor for 10 consecutive lessons to provide continuity and the ability to get better under the same tutelage each session.

For those players who are looking to see serious results, this is Blizzard Baseball Academy's #1 and most recommended offering.

GROUP HITTING SESSIONS 
The group hitting lessons will focus around the main points of a swing: stance, separation & balance (load), bat path, and finish.  We will also include how to approach an at-bat and the mental aspect of hitting.  Balance, hand-eye coordination, quick hands, using lower half, drill work and batting practice will be our focus into every lesson.

How many times do you get to work along side a 2x World Series Champion, minor league manager and big league coach? Having Al Newman on our Blizzard staff at the Blizzard Baseball Academy has been a surreal experience for our players (and parents!).
 

Newmie will be giving his fielding lessons at the Vadnais Dome beginning this winter beginning November 7th through March 5th.

Blizzard Baseball Academy's Catching Clinics are one of our most popular offerings. Limited to only six players per session, players will receive personal instruction and the reps needed to improve at one of the more technical positions the game has to offer.
