Coon Rapids' Logan Shore, Hill-Murray's Travis Neubeck and Delano's Tyler Wolfe are in the first stages of what they hope will be a journey to Major League Baseball.

KSTP Sports spoke with them about spring training experiences, the current stage of their careers and their outlook on the future.

Shore, who starred at the University of Florida, was a 2nd-round draft pick of the Oakland A's in 2016.  This will be his first full season of pro ball. He did join the A's minor league system after his college season with the Gators ended.

Late in spring training (after the interviews had been conducted), Shore got a start against the Anaheim Angels' projected starting lineup.  He retired the first seven batters he faced, including a strikeout of reigning American League MVP Mike Trout.

“It’s pretty cool,” Shore said in an interview with CSN Bay Area. “There’s not really any words to describe that.”

Shore threw four-ininngs allowing just one run on two hits.

The Miami Marlins drafted Neubeck - a right-handed pitcher - in 2015.

He joined the Marlins Class A affiliate after his collegiate season that year, and spent spring training with the Marlins before another year at Batavia in 2016. This will be his second full season as a pro.

Wolfe is a prospect at 3rd-base in the Houston Astros organization. He was taken in the 2016 draft.

After his season concluded at Kansas State last year, Wolfe played for the Astros rookie-league and Class A teams.
