Additional Tryout Information

This year, we will be holding off-site tryouts in southern and northern Minnesota to scout the top players in high school to play for our regionally-based (Twin Cities) teams.  Registration and tryout format is the same.  Out-state players are welcome to come to our standard workout/tryout but our off-site tryouts are made for those who may not be able to make the drive but are still interested in playing with our Minnesota Blizzard Elite teams.  See you soon! -Coach Barta!

The Duluth Blizzard program for ages 11u-18u will be holding tryouts on June 27th for a three-month training program including weekly practices, a five-week fall league and two tournaments.

We will pick a roster of 12-13 players for each team and have two coaches/team.

The Duluth Blizzard Program is designed for players in the northern part of Minnesota and offered the same opportunities that the Minnesota Blizzard Elite program provides including philosophy (Blizzard Big 5), training, tournament options and exposure.

Additional Tryout and Showcase Info

ScoutStop and the Mankato Moon Dogs of the Northwoods Summer Collegiate League, are teaming up to provide a College and Pro Showcase on June 29th, 2017 at Franklin Rogers Ball Park in Mankato, MN.

The showcase, which will be for players graduating 2021-2018, will also serve as an out-state tryout for Minnesota's top traveling teams, the Minnesota Blizzard Elite.

Players will run through a MLB tryout format including: timed 60 yard dash, infield and outfield work batting practice and live bullpens.  All data will be collected for participant's National Recruiting Profile - an individual player page that each player can use for recruiting purposes including your bio, scouting reports, video, schedules and measurable data.

In addition, all players will receive a Moon Dogs ticket for that night's game which includes game admission, hot dog, chips and a soda.
