Blizzard Summer Training Program

Blizzard Summer Training Program 2021

Our summer training program series will look to kick-off on June 8th!  The 2021 Blizzard Training Program include six days of baseball instruction over two weeks, putting players through the same training that has produced 117 national tournament titles since 2003. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to sign-up, all that is required is a passion for baseball and a desire to get better!

The Blizzard Training Program includes detailed practice plans to cover a variety of skills and situations.  Drill work and skills games will put players in a game-like, competitive atmosphere.  The addition of "Big League BP" this year will allow players to go through game like situations and reads as fielders and base runners.

This camp will feature a mix of our top instructors and former players as coaches. We are all excited to get back on the field and can't wait to see you out there!

Age Level: 10u-14u

Players will learn the fundamentals of both infield and outfield play, including proper footwork, glove/hands work, defensive mindset, and preparation!

Hitting Focus: stance, separation & balance (load), bat path, and finish, as well as mental approach. Drill work centered on balance, hand-eye coordination, quick hands, and lower-half work, along with batting practice will be used to help players prepare for the season!

Pitching Focus: lower-half efficiency, tempo, and timing in the delivery in drill work. Players will also go through command drills and structured flat ground/bullpen sessions to help their arms get ready for the season.

Players will go through a batting practice similar in style to what you see before a Major Leauge Baseball game.  Players will be able to get their timing down a the plate while seeing ball flight on the field.  Base runners and fielders will be able work on making the correct reads off the bat and go through some situational work.
