Andrew Woitas brings 11 years of High School and College coaching experience to 507 Baseball Academy.  After spending seven years as an assistant baseball coach at Minnetonka High School Andrew has been the head assistant coach at Gustavus College since 2018.  Woitas also worked for the Minnesota Blizzard since 2010.

The Sleepy Eye, Minn. native earned MIAC All-Conference honors his senior season at Gustavus College after starting all 38 games as an outfielder or pitcher. He batted .406 and led the team with 52 hits, seven doubles, three triples, and 65 total bases. Woitas’ 128 career hits rank 16th in program history and his 141 career games played is 11th.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at Minnesota Baseball Academy?
I enjoy the passion and energy the kids bring to practice, games, and anything involving the game of baseball as well as their willingness to learn and become better ball players.  I also enjoy seeing the comradery that is formed as they share experiences that they will never forget!

What is your motivation/passion about teaching baseball?
Baseball has been a big part of my life and I enjoy working with kids that have the same drive and willingness to get better.  I love seeing them make strides to becoming successful baseball players as well as good young men.
