Cole Albers brings a deep passion for player development and program culture to the Minnesota Blizzard Baseball Academy. A former standout shortstop, Cole played at Iowa Western for two years before transferring to Creighton University for his final collegiate season. His playing experience and love for the game shine through in his coaching.
Cole has been coaching baseball for four years and has spent all of them with the Blizzard program. As primarily a varsity Blizzard coach, he emphasizes long-term growth over short-term results, living by the philosophy “Process > Outcome.” He teaches young athletes that winning isn’t just about the scoreboard — it’s about discipline, development, and doing things the right way every day.
Having grown up in Brooklyn Park, MN, and graduated from Champlin Park High School, Cole also played four years in the Blizzard program himself before graduating in 2017. That personal connection drives his pride in the Blizzard culture and mission.
Outside of baseball, you can find Cole on the golf course, reading a good book, or cheering on Duke Basketball and the Minnesota Vikings. His energy, dedication, and ability to relate to players make him a trusted leader in the Blizzard family.
