Riley Palmer

Current Team: 2027 Blue

Barta On Palmer

Riley Palmer brings a decade of experience and a professional baseball background to the Minnesota Blizzard Baseball Academy. A utility player drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 31st round of the 2013 MLB Draft, Riley spent time developing his game at Southern New Hampshire University, where he played for three years and helped lead the team to a College World Series appearance.

Now in his first year with the Blizzard program, his coaching philosophy is simple but powerful: have fun and help players become the best version of themselves — both on and off the field. With a strong focus on effort, improvement, and positive attitude, he creates a competitive yet supportive environment for young athletes to thrive.

Originally from Goffstown, New Hampshire, Riley brings national perspective and professional insights to the Midwest baseball scene. He’s also coached with programs like Narrows Baseball Club and his alma mater, SNHU, adding layers of experience to his coaching toolbox.

When he’s not on the field, Riley finds joy in the rhythm of the game — the heat, the lights, and the smell of fresh-cut grass. His calm confidence and love for baseball make him a valuable mentor for players and families alike.
