Current Team: 2028 Black
Johnathan Snavely is a recent graduate of the Minnesota Blizzard program who brings consistency, empathy and a player-first mindset to his role as a coach at Minnesota Blizzard Baseball Academy. A current student at the University of Dubuque, Johnathan is entering his sophomore year and continuing to deepen his understanding of both the game and the athletes he works with.
This is Johnathan’s first full summer season coaching with Blizzard after playing in the program for two seasons prior to graduating in 2024. He aims to create an environment where players not only improve their skills, but also grow in confidence and perspective. His coaching philosophy focuses on enjoying the game while building discipline and respect — on and off the field.
Johnathan grew up in Roseville, MN, and played high school baseball at Roseville Area High School. Primarily a corner infielder — first and third base — he’s known for his steady demeanor and thoughtful leadership.
Beyond baseball, Johnathan has a unique passion: aviation. When he’s not on the field, he enjoys flying as a pilot and spending time with friends and family. His ability to connect with young athletes and lead with calm enthusiasm makes him a valued member of the Blizzard coaching staff.
