Barta On Linarte

Nicolas Linarte brings focused instruction and a player-first mindset to the Minnesota Blizzard Baseball Academy. A former catcher and first baseman, Nicolas played collegiate baseball at North Iowa Area Community College and Gustavus Adolphus College from 2019 to 2023. Today, he serves as a dedicated hitting and catching instructor, blending his experience behind the plate with a sharp eye for mechanics and confidence-building.

Nicolas has been coaching baseball for four years and is now entering his third season with the Blizzard program. He strives to create an environment that fosters energy, intent, and effort. His coaching philosophy emphasizes steady progress: helping players grow by keeping practices fun, competitive, and structured.

A 2019 graduate of Henry Sibley High School and a two-year Blizzard alum himself, Nicolas understands what makes the program special. “I wanted to coach with Blizzard because I wanted to give back to the program that gave me so much,” he shares — a full-circle journey that drives his commitment to player development.

Off the field, Nicolas is an avid golfer and enjoys staying active and spending time with friends. His approachable coaching style, technical knowledge, and love for the game make him a strong presence in the Blizzard family.
