Current Team: 2027 Red
Easton Fritcher brings a player-first mindset and a strong Blizzard legacy to his first season as a coach with the Minnesota Blizzard Baseball Academy. A versatile player who spent time at pitcher, first base, and in the outfield, Easton played at the University of Minnesota during his freshman and sophomore seasons and currently plays for the University of St. Thomas. He now brings that high-level experience and calm teaching style into his coaching.
Easton has been coaching for three years, and while this is his first season with Blizzard as a coach, he’s no stranger to the program — he played for Blizzard for an impressive 10 years, graduating from Hayfield Community School in 2022. He focuses on patience, development, and confidence. “My philosophy is not getting mad at athletes for making mistakes,” Easton says. “Instead, I want to help them understand what happened and how they can grow.”
He has also coached with the Hayfield Baseball Team, giving back to the same community where his journey began. His deep Blizzard roots, combined with his Division I playing background, allow him to connect with athletes on both a technical and emotional level.
Off the field, Easton enjoys fishing, hunting, golfing, hiking, and relaxing at the lake. His balance of competitive experience and quiet leadership makes him a steady, impactful presence on the Blizzard coaching staff.
