Cole Albers, who was one of Blizzard’s best all-time shortstops, earned some of the program’s highest honors including the “Johnny Price” MVP Award (2014, 2015), the “Logan Shore” Top Pitcher Award (2014, 2015), the “Jake Kuschke” Leadership Award (2017) and “BluegLove” Top Defenseman Award (2017).
Albers led the Blizzard program to its first of three Perfect Game World Wood Bat Championships in Jupiter, FL, the largest amateur baseball tournament in the World. He was named MVP in the PG Kernels Championships, the qualifying tournament that earned his team a bid.
Albers was a college standout, playing at Creighton University and Iowa Western Community College where he helped lead his team to the Junior College World Series in 2018 and 2019.
Albers is one of the Blizzard Academy’s Lead Instructors, Head Varsity Coach, and works full time at the Academy where his duties include day to day operations, mental performance, and leadership.
These lessons are limited to eight players per hour.
