2025 Summer Max Performance

Quick Program Overview

Plan your work.  Work your plan.

Our Summer MAX Performance program engages young athletes - primarily baseball players - in achieving complete performance that compliments the rigorous playing schedules in the summer. This program aims to combine strength training and baseball training - emphasizing mobility/recovery, strength/speed, and hitting/throwing. Not only will we help you perform better on the field but also help keep you on the field.

Please note that you do not have to be a Blizzard player to participate in these programs.  Multi-sport athletes and non-academy members are welcome!

FAQ

What if my athlete is registered for the Standard (In-Person) but will miss a week or two?

  • Not a problem, each athlete in the Standard program will also receive a "Trigger Session" sheet that consists of banded and bodyweight workouts. These workout are meant to be performed in a circuit fashion 1-3x per day on days missed or off days.

Does each program variation offer different workouts? Why the price difference?

  • The workouts themselves will be the same, however, these are the main differences:
    • Standard (In-person): includes hands on strength & conditioning, as well as, baseball training with our instructors at the academy. Primary instructors include Eddie Gerald, Bryan Sanchez, Nicolas Linarte, Ethen Carlson, and Bryce Gibb
    • Hybrid Remote: includes access to our remote strength & conditioning workouts that the athletes can follow and run on their own. The athletes will also have access to our performance center for the duration of the summer.
    • All Remote: Includes access to our remote strength & conditioning workouts that the athlete can follow and run completely on their own with their own equipment or gym

Is the baseball training included in the Hybrid or All Remote options?

  • No, the baseball training is only included in our Standard (In-Person) program

Will athletes in the Hybrid or All Remote program have access to instructors in case they need help?

  • Yes, athletes in the Hybrid or All Remote programs will have access to Blizzard Performance Director, Bryan Sanchez, if they ever need help or have any questions

How will the remote workouts be delivered to the athletes?

  • Our remote workouts are delivered through the FuturesApp which can be downloaded on your smartphone.

Why are the Hybrid and All Remote options limited to 15u-18u?

  • These programs are limited to 15u-18u for safety reason. These programs are more autonomous and ran by the athletes themselves and we do not want youth athletes with little to no training experience to injure themselves.

What if my athlete is in the 15u-18u age range and has little to no weight training experience?

  • We highly recommend they sign-up for the Standard (In-Person) program so that they get the proper hands on training by our instructors to teach them correct form and mechanics of weight training.
